2000px-Food_and_Drug_Administration_logo.svgThe FDA has proposed new legislation that could have deep implications for much of the vapor industry. These regulations, as they stand, force small and medium size businesses out of existence and effectively hand the industry over to the large corporations.
Check here for the latest updates from Casaa

These regulations would require every vapor product made since 2007 to go through a lengthy FDA approval process. A process that the FDA has never approved a new product with.  The costs are estimated at 2 million+ just for the application costs of every product or flavor. This will effectively stop any small or medium size business in the industry within the next 2-4 years.

We agree that the “ideal situation” would be for the FDA to classify vapor products separately from tobacco products entirely.
H.R. 2058 offers a bit of of hope for small and medium businesses. Most the FDA regulations stays the same. This change would allow for all vapor products currently on the market to remain on the market without being subject to the burdensome (read: prohibitive) pre-market FDA approval application process.

We suggest supporting both options.

billfloresUrge your States US Representative to oppose FDA’s deeming reg (that would ban >99.9% of e-cigs now on the market) and urge them to become a cosponsor of HR 2058. For Texas the US Representative is Bill Flores. Here is a link to his contact information. Also, if you need to lookup for a different state Here you Go.

Also, Call the White House! Urge President Obama to demand that the FDA re-work
their deeming regulations to allow most vapor products to remain on the market.

Do your part to help save vaping from being over-regulated out of existence.

The free market has innovated 99.9% of the products in use.

We personally agree with some oversight by the FDA. i.e. underage sales, safety regulations and standards etc.
We also believe that the Free Market will allow for innovation and higher competitive standards. These regulations
will take the fight away from the Free Market and allow large corporations to decide on the future of Vaping.
We don’t think that is a great idea…

Thanks,
